Your driveway looked great when it was new. Now? Oil stains from the car. Green algae creeping up from the edges. That grey film that makes everything look tired and old.
We see it all the time across the Central Coast. From Gosford to Terrigal, Woy Woy to Wyong — concrete takes a beating from our coastal weather. Salt air, humidity, and those summer storms create the perfect conditions for mould and grime to build up fast.
Good news? Concrete pressure cleaning brings it all back. We’re talking about surfaces that look brand new in a few hours.

Living near the coast is great. But salt air and moisture do a number on your concrete.
Here’s what happens. Moisture settles into the tiny pores of your concrete. Algae and mould spores land on the surface. They find a nice damp home and start growing. Add in dirt, leaves, and car fluids — and suddenly your driveway looks 20 years older than it is.
The areas around Erina, Bateau Bay, and The Entrance cop it worst. Close to the water means more moisture in the air. We’ve cleaned driveways in Blue Bay that were basically green from algae after just one wet season.
Pressure cleaning blasts all of that away. Hot water, high pressure, and the right technique gets into those pores and pulls the grime out.
Driveways and carports — The most common job. Oil stains, tyre marks, and general grime. Most driveways take 1-2 hours depending on size.
Footpaths and pathways — Slippery paths are a safety hazard. We remove the algae and mould that makes concrete dangerous when wet.
Pool surrounds — Chlorine splash and constant moisture creates a film on pool concrete. We clean it without damaging your pool or garden.
Patios and entertaining areas — BBQ grease, food stains, and general foot traffic. Get your outdoor area ready for summer.
Garage floors — Oil, paint, and workshop grime. We’ve cleaned garages in Wyoming and Springfield that hadn’t been touched in years.
Retaining walls — Dirt and algae love rough concrete surfaces. Retaining walls often need a softer approach to avoid damage.
People ask us all the time — can’t I just hire a pressure washer from Bunnings and do it myself?
You can. But here’s what usually happens.
DIY pressure washing often leaves stripes and uneven patches. Too much pressure damages the concrete surface. Too little and the stains don’t budge. Wrong angle and you etch lines into the concrete that show up worse than the original stains.
We use commercial equipment that puts out way more pressure than rental machines. But pressure alone isn’t the answer. Temperature matters too. Hot water breaks down oil and grease that cold water just pushes around.
Then there’s technique. We work in sections, overlapping each pass so you don’t get those amateur stripes. We adjust pressure based on the concrete type — exposed aggregate needs different treatment than plain concrete.
After cleaning, we can apply a sealer that protects the surface and makes future cleaning easier. Not everyone needs it, but it’s worth considering for high-traffic areas.
Oil and grease — Car leaks, BBQ spills, machinery fluids. These soak into concrete fast. The longer they sit, the deeper they go. We use degreasers before pressure cleaning to break down oil stains.
Rust stains — From metal furniture, garden tools, or fertiliser. Rust needs special treatment because standard pressure cleaning can actually spread the stain and make it worse.
Algae and mould — The green and black stuff that makes concrete slippery. Very common across the Central Coast due to our humidity. Pressure cleaning removes it, but we also treat the surface to slow regrowth.
Tyre marks — Hot tyres leave rubber deposits on concrete. These need heat and pressure together to remove properly.
Paint spills — Depends on the paint type and how long it’s been there. Fresh paint is easier. Old paint might need multiple treatments.

Pricing depends on the size of the area and how dirty it is. A standard driveway might take an hour or two. A large commercial carpark takes a full day.
We quote every job individually after seeing the site. No surprises, no hidden fees.
Most residential driveways on the Central Coast fall between $250 and $400. Larger jobs like body corporate common areas or commercial properties are quoted separately.
We’re fully insured up to $20 million. That matters when we’re working around your property, cars, and gardens.
Most people call us when their concrete looks bad. Fair enough. But regular cleaning actually saves money long term.
Mould and algae break down concrete over time. The surface gets rougher, which holds more dirt, which grows more mould. It’s a cycle that speeds up if you leave it.
We recommend pressure cleaning every 12-18 months for most Central Coast homes. Properties closer to the water or under trees might need it more often.
Spring is the busiest time — everyone wants their outdoor areas clean for summer. Book early if you want it done before December.
