Patio Pressure Cleaning Central Coast

Your patio should be somewhere you actually want to spend time. But if it’s covered in black mould, green slime, or years of built-up grime, it’s hard to enjoy it — and honestly, it can be a bit embarrassing when people come over.

At Coastal Cleans Cleaning Co., patio pressure cleaning is one of the most common jobs we do right across the Central Coast. And after a single clean, most customers can’t believe how different it looks.

Why Patios Get So Dirty on the Central Coast

Living near the coast is great, but the salt air and humidity do a number on outdoor surfaces. Patios here get mould, lichen, and algae buildup way faster than properties further inland — especially on south-facing areas that don’t dry out quickly after rain.

Add in the summer storms that dump debris everywhere, the bird droppings, the BBQ grease, and the dirt tracked in from the backyard — it all stacks up fast. By the time most people call us, the original colour of the pavers is hard to even remember.

The good news? It’s not permanent. Most of it comes off in a single visit.

Patio Pressure Cleaning — What We Clean

We work on all the common patio surface types found in Central Coast homes:

  • Concrete — the most common, responds brilliantly to pressure washing
  • Sandstone pavers — needs a careful approach so we don’t pit or etch the surface
  • Travertine tiles — we use lower pressure and the right detergent mix
  • Ceramic and porcelain tiles — can go back to looking brand new
  • Timber decking — soft wash method to clean without raising the grain
  • Composite decking — low pressure, no harsh chemicals that affect the finish
  • Brick and exposed aggregate — surface cleaner attachment for an even result

Not sure what surface you have? No worries — just describe it when you call or send us a photo. We’ll let you know the best approach before we book anything in.

How Our Patio Pressure Cleaning Service Works

We keep it simple.

You contact Coastal Cleans Cleaning Co. for a free quote — either by phone, text, or through our contact form. We ask a few basic questions about the size of the area and the surface type, and give you a price upfront. No vague hourly rates, no surprises when the invoice arrives.

On the day, we show up with professional-grade equipment — not a bunnings special. We pre-treat areas with heavy mould or staining using our mould killer treatment, then pressure wash at the correct PSI for your surface. We use a surface cleaner head for flat areas so you get even results, not the streaky lines you get from a hand lance.

Most residential patios take between one and three hours depending on size. We pack up, give you a walk around, and you’re done.

Patio Cleaning Across the Central Coast

Coastal Cleans Cleaning Co. covers the full Central Coast region. We regularly work in:

Terrigal, Avoca Beach, Wamberal, MacMasters Beach, Gosford, Point Clare, Erina, Springfield, Kincumber, Saratoga, Ettalong Beach, Umina Beach, Woy Woy, Tuggerah, Wyong, Hamlyn Terrace, Lake Haven, Toukley, The Entrance, Bateau Bay, Shelly Beach, and surrounding areas.

If you’re not on this list, get in touch anyway. We cover more of the Coast than most.

What Does Patio Pressure Cleaning Cost?

Most residential patio jobs on the Central Coast land between $150 and $280 depending on size and condition. A small courtyard patio is at the lower end. A large entertaining area with heavy mould and staining takes longer and costs more.

We always quote before we start. The price we give you is the price you pay.

We don’t charge extra for our mould killer application, and there’s no travel fee for most Central Coast suburbs.

When Should You Book a Patio Clean?

The most popular time is late winter to early spring — people want the outdoor area looking good before the warm months kick in. Pre-summer is smart so the patio is ready for entertaining season.

Post-summer is also worth thinking about. After months of humidity, foot traffic, and BBQs, most Central Coast patios are ready for a reset by March or April.

And if you’re selling your home, a patio clean is one of the easiest ways to lift your street appeal and make the property look well maintained before inspections.

There’s no wrong time to book — we work year-round.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will pressure washing damage my pavers or tiles?

Not if it's done correctly. The wrong pressure on sandstone, travertine, or older pavers can cause damage — that's why we adjust the PSI and method for every surface type. We've cleaned hundreds of patios across the Central Coast without a damage issue.

Do you use chemicals?

For mould and lichen, yes — we use a low-concentration, biodegradable detergent applied before rinsing. It breaks down the organic growth so it doesn't just come straight back. Our process is safe for pets and plants. For lightly soiled surfaces, water alone is often enough.

Do I need to be home?

Usually not. As long as we have water access and can get to the patio, we can do the job while you're out. We'll send photos when we're finished and let you know we're done.

How long does it take?

A standard residential patio takes one to two hours. Larger areas or surfaces with heavy staining take a bit longer. We'll give you an honest time estimate when we quote.

How often should I get my patio cleaned?

On the Central Coast, once a year keeps most patios in good shape. If you're in a coastal suburb with a lot of shade or tree coverage, twice a year is worth considering. We'll give you an honest recommendation based on what we see.
